Chinese Music Society of Greater Washington (CMSGW), is a professional organization established in 1999 by a group of Chinese American musicians, dancers, artists and music/art educators in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
The goal of CMSGW is to promote traditional and contemporary Chinese music art for the benefit of enriching the musical and art experience of its members, and fostering the mutual understanding and appreciation of cultural diversification in the communities we live and share. Since its inception, CMSGW has been working in alliance and corporation with many local professional groups and organizations, such as orchestras, choirs, academies, associations, theaters or studios, to introduce various entertainment and educational programs, and conduct numerous performances for the people in the communities of Greater Washington and the adjacent areas.
